Thank you for your faithful prayers and encouragement as we’ve worked together in Christ to build Ecclesia.
As Ecclesia moves towards our second birthday, we’ve come up against some immigration issues for my family, which were made even more difficult with some financial issues for our new community. For the sake of our family, Jeremy and I have made the heart wrenching decision to move back to the United States and end the journey of Ecclesia.
This has been a difficult season for me, my family, and my team as we wade through these issues. And while I am grieving the loss of the community that was so dear to me, the vision for a new church that I deeply loved, and the dream that meant so much to me, I feel a sense of peace that this is the right thing to do. And all of us appreciate your continued prayers for everyone involved as we consider and discern what God might have for us next.
Jeremy, our children, and I plan to move back to Seattle, Washington, where we lived before coming to Oshawa. We’re still considering options in terms of work and ministry, and we’re trusting that God will guide us as we move forward - as he always has in the past.
Thank you again for your support and encouragement in this adventure of church planting. We’re grateful for you, and wish you much grace as you move forward - embodying your hope in all the place you live, work, study, and play.
Peace,Jana KohPastor, Ecclesia Church
